Your guide to outdoor workout areas in the city of Port Phillip.

Workout Stations:

Add some resistance to your run by combining body weight exercises at these stations. Great for focusing on upper body and core with chin up and vault bars, step-ups, body curl, push-ups, sit-ups and curl stations.

1. Morris Reserve: corner Evans Street and Swallow Street, Port Melbourne
2. Albert Park Reserve: Albert Road Drive, Northern End of Reserve
3. Middle Park Beach: corner Armstrong Street and Beaconsfield Parade, Middle Park
4. Albert Park Reserve: Ross Gregory Drive, Eastern End of Reserve
5. M.O. Moran Reserve: Marine Parade, Elwood

Outdoor Sport:

Bayside living means you’re ideally located for water sports, and don’t worry if you’ve never tried it before, there are a variety of places offering lessons.

6. Kite boarding: The Zu Boardsports, 330 Beaconsfield Parade, West Beach St Kilda
7. Paddle boarding: Stand Up Paddle Boarding HQ, St Kilda Beach, Pier Road St Kilda

9. Beach volleyball: free nets located at South Melbourne Beach or twilight competition through Republica, St Kilda Sea Baths, 10-18 Jacka Boulevard, St Kilda
10. Beach tennis: Port Melbourne Beach, Station Pier Beach St, Port Melbourne

Cardio Course:

If getting outdoors means the wind in your hair then these are for you, both offering a shared use path for cyclists and pedestrians.

11. Albert Park Lake: 5km track
12. The Bay Trial: Port Phillip Bay Coastline
6 km Short course: St Kilda Pier to Bay Street, Brighton
49.8 km Full Course: Yarra River West Gate Bridge, Port Melbourne to Austin
