Virtual Dog Walk

On 29 April at 11:00am Dachshunds, Long Dogs, Wieners and Sausages are joining forces on both sides of the equator for a virtual group walk to celebrate the breed. To show our community spirit, and as our short statured friends are tired of dragging their bellies over rubbish, we will also use this opportunity to clean up beaches, waterways and parks in our local areas.

The Melbourne Region Dash the Trash walk will take place along St Kilda Beach starting at West Beach Bathers Pavilion on Beaconsfield Parade and has the support of the Clean Up Australia Organisation.
We hope to get as many dachshunds and their slaves there as possible to both contribute to the tally for the world-wide group walk and also make the river a happier place for its inhabitants.

The 29th of April will go down in dachshund history as the biggest congregation of the breed ever while contributing to our local environment. We are going to help raise much-needed funds for Storybook Farm – Sacred Animal Garden with a gold coin donation for each dog who comes along.
