This year will see the sixthannual Heart of St Kilda Concert hit the Palais Theatre on Tuesday 14 May 2013 – fundraising for St Kilda’s iconic Sacred Heart Mission.  The night promises some of the best in Australian music and comedy, past and present, with a line-up as diverse as the inhabitants of St Kilda.

The first acts to be announced are:

Graveyard Train – Bear witness to the touring juggernaut that is the man choir of Graveyard Train; playing sell-out festivals all over the country.

Kate Ceberano – Melbourne’s first lady of soul; a charismatic and sultry songbird.

Darren Carr – From premier cruise liners to the shores of St Kilda, ventriloquist Darren Carr will entertain with a mix of music, comedy and ventriloquism.

Russell Gilbert – One of Australia’s most loveable stand-up comedic performers who has taken his fanatical love of footy and comedy around the world.

Wishful – New, young St Kilda trio performing their own indie folk style with edgy pop melodies.

Rachel Berger – Political, passionate and armed only with her material, Rachel has been prowling the stand-up circuit like a tigress for 21 years.

Lisa Miller – Melbourne singer songwriter whose songs cut so close to the heart of the matter.

EVEN –for the third year, the Hardest Working Band in Melbourne™ will be the house band.

The inimitable and consummate professional, Brain Nankervis, will hold the night’s antics together as Master of Ceremonies.

This year’s Heart of St Kilda Concert aims to fund more than 30,000 of the breakfast and lunches, served by Sacred Heart Mission to people experiencing homelessness or poverty every day of the year.

The Heart of St Kilda Concert is a great way to support Sacred Heart Mission, whose work in the community provides the basic necessities of life – food, clothing, emergency relief, accommodation and companionship – and creates pathways out of homelessness.

Don’t miss out on this huge night of entertainment and give a helping hand to this great cause.
