The cat lady’s poem

There once was a rich lady,

Who didn’t want a baby,

She had no wish to marry,

Sold her flat in the city to Barry,

And used her money,

To buy a big old farmhouse in the country.

Though that was not all she desired,

She had recently retired,

She took her newly acquired bus,

And went to discuss,

With the local pounds owner,

Who looked like a loner,

How she would go about adopting all their cats,

He was delighted as he thought they were all brats,

The rich lady,

Who didn’t want a baby,

Ended up adopting 300 cats.
