The Best Medicine

Australia’s freshest face of clean comedy is here. This crazy-talented mother, musician, author and chronic pain & anxiety sufferer is making her MICF debut with her signature style of wonderfully crafted story-telling, hysterical poetry, scintillating skits and hilarious songs in The Best Medicine.

Hannah has always been passionate about reminding audiences that comedy does not need to be crass to be funny, yet having recently suffered multiple tragedies in her life (among them, the loss of two full term babies), as well as her continued battles with a chronic pain condition, anxiety, motherhood, and caring for her ageing parents, Hannah’s comedy has also taken on additional direction: to bring laughter to hurting hearts who are trudging through the day to day quagmire of devastation known as life. She does this by drawing upon life’s rich tapestry to ponder the deep (and not so deep) matters with humour and grace. Her own journey of suffering has given Hannah a special ability and unique heart for reaching audiences from all walks of life, but especially those who are suffering physical or mental illness and grief.

You will also not find a more diverse show from a single performer! Hannah is a former professional musician and plays more than five instruments to performance standard. She has audiences toe-tapping and guffawing with an assorted repertoire from classical to rock and everything in between as she combines her love of music, witty poetry and superb story-telling to create a miniature masterpiece of comicality, never losing sight of her ultimate aim: to bring laughter to those who need it. After all, it is The Best Medicine
