Teddy bears picnic benefit concert

Beloved childrens’ entertainers the Kazoos are hosting a benefit concert to raise funds for local not-for-profit organisation St Kilda Mums.

The Kazoos are  one of Australia’s most acclaimed children’s acts, entertaining thousands of kids across Australia and Singapore since 2005 – and will be bringing their ‘A Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ show to St Kilda on November 7th.

Tickets are $15 a head, and all funds raised are going towards St Kilda Mums, who collect and rehome clothing and nursery items for Victorian families in need.

Children attending ‘A Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ are asked to bring their own teddy to the concert, plus a teddy to donate to a child in need – which can be new or a used, freshly-laundered one to pass on.

St Kilda Mums Chief Executive Officer Jessica Macpherson is excited for the event, and very appreciative of the support shown by the Kazoos.

“We’re so thankful to be working with the Kazoos to put on a really fun event for our supporters’ children. Kids are also never too young to learn about the importance of helping others in need by bringing along a teddy to donate,” Ms Macpherson said.

‘A Teddy Bear’s Picnic’ is the latest musical theatre show by the Kazoos, aimed at preschool and early primary aged children and featuring a host of original songs, dance, adventure and plenty of humour.

Tickets are on sale on the Kazoos’ website at www.thekazoos.com
