An inspiring performance from playing coach Mick Stinear gave St Kilda City victory over Clayton in round 12 of the SFL season, keeping their finals chances alive. In windy and wet conditions, a tough game saw the lead change several time in the last quarter before a late goal from young gun, Zio Holdinghausen, clinched the result and gave City the points.

The remaining games of the season will determine whether City will take part in the September action, with 3 teams fighting for 5th spot on the ladder.
