St Kilda Bites Introduction

By  |  0 Comments

Welcome to the second edition of our exciting, new eight page regular Food Feature; dedicated to providing reviews, appraisals and exposes of our many local eating establishments, as well as personality and product profiling taking center stage too.

St Kilda Bites is intended to be a refreshing and exciting new, stand alone, feature regularly published within St Kilda News. Dedicated to promoting the diverse food culture that not all are aware exists so markedly in our greater St Kida area.

St Kilda Bites’ objective is to impartially critique and analyse all eating and coffee establishments, including Bakeries and Hotel Dining Rooms, and its role is to promote the whole dining scene. St Kilda Bites will actively search for and discover new and unique eating spots that are springing up every week in the vibrant wining and dining climate that is the greater St Kilda region. Other fresh Food outlets, bakeries, markets and coffee lounges will come under our assessment and scrutiny too.

This new category, in St Kilda News, will reveal and appraise any dining venues within the several new emerging food hubs, particularly on the periphery with such locations as: the Grey, Inkerman and Carlisle Street strips, as well as the more traditional and established regions, such as: Fitzroy and Acland streets. With summer approaching, St Kilda Bites will also be particularly keen to appraise eating establishments tailored for the tourist market, such as those positioned along the beaches and on the sea front.

We also have a quest to happen upon fascinating and stand out food identities in the local hospitality industry, particularly those that make a positive contribution to improve the St Kilda culinary scene. To that end we will be particularly profiling Chefs and food personalities under the banner of ‘St Kilda Food Icon’.

We hope you continue to enjoy this special culinary feature published in St Kilda News each month!

If you as a reader have any personal comments or observations on the St Kilda food and coffee scene please do not hesitate to send in your remarks and we will take pleasure in publishing them. More particularly if any wining and dining outlets or smaller eating or coffee spots require exposure, a review, appraisal or a promotion of their venue, or of a particular product, by our food writers; ‘The Food Dude’ or ‘Miss Nibbles,’ or if you wish to place an advertisement, please contact our Food personality, Regan Stoneman, on: 0427382772 or Email the Food Dude at: fooddude@stkildanews.com
