St Kilda Arts Community Incorporated is excited to be launching the 2nd St Kilda Art Crawl at the Vineyard in Acland Street on Thursday 24 of May at 6pm.

On the weekend of 25, 26 & 27 May, over 32 local venues including art galleries, pop up galleries and studios, are joining forces to showcase the artwork of over a hundred varied artists, as well as incorporating live entertainment.

Our aim is to galvanise, inspire and connect artists with local businesses and the general community to promote regeneration.

All outlets are represented on the Art Crawl Map which is available at outlets around St Kilda and surrounds and on the website.

St Kilda Art Crawl is spread widely across St Kilda’s Precincts. These include Fitzroy Street, St Kilda Sea Baths, Grey Street, Acland Street, Barkly Street, Shakespeare Grove, St Kilda Road, Carlisle Street and Chapel Street St Kilda featuring designers and artists producing sculpture, glass art, paintings, fine pen drawing, indigenous art, poetry and music.

Stan Yarramunua, Aboriginal artist, author and public speaker from Art Yarramunua in Acland Street, will be performing a Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, to clear the way for a fantastic weekend at the launch on Thursday night, outside the Vineyard Restaurant.

Emily Humphries – Artist and Curator, of the well renowned Humphries family of Melbourne, will be available for media interviews at the launch and to greet the community and talk about this extraordinary art movement and event.

Frank Howson, director and producer, award-winning poet and published author, will deliver a poem in dedication to St Kilda Art Crawl.  This will be followed by rock duo Eclectica and Oz music legend Steve Lucas, performing with bassist Peter Mavric, live to the public and for a Facebook Live streaming event, at 8 pm at the Vineyard Restaurant.

We invite you to attend our opening celebrations and participate in this truly inspiring weekend of art and culture in St Kilda.
