Paint The Town Red for Winter

By  |  0 Comments

This Winter we have been Painting The Town Red during the World AIDS Conference

The World Aids Conference come to Melbourne last month, with up to 10,000 international visitors expected, including Bill Clinton and Bob Geldof amongst many others.

We don’t believe you’ve been to Melbourne until you’ve been to St Kilda, and our Winter campaign was all about getting the delegates to visit us. Some of them will be staying in St Kilda, and we want to welcome them into our world.

Melbourne is lighting the CBD red, and in St Kilda, we’ve been Painting the Town Red with lanterns and lighting installations in Acland St, the Sea Baths, Luna Park, The Palais, Fitzroy St and the St Kilda Town Hall.

We commissioned artist Wayne Morton to design the lighting installation, and was found in Monarch’s laneway lanterns right next to Monarch Cakes at 103 Acland St. You also saw some other beautiful spaces light up on the Street.

It was super easy to get involved. This campaign was supported by PR, social medial, press, local press and at the World Aids Conference on their app, their information centre and their website.

Delegates could buy St Kilda Money for $30, and get $35 value from participating businesses. More details below.
