Madiba the Musical is a part biographic celebration of the life of Nelson Mandela, with sub-plots that widen the lens of apartheid’s toxic effect in South Africa beyond the plight of the great man.

As we all know, the regime was patiently defeated in a changing climate of racial perspectives. The tactic of forgiveness over hate was cultivated in the atmosphere of violence.

Whether this musical is a direct response to today’s darkening clouds of segregationalism and political division or a homage to a landmark in humanity, it’s not clear. But there’s poignancy either way.

It is a story of forbearance, passion and hope in the fight for a brand new world of modernity and freedom. With its pulsating African dance, strident and haunting drama, stunning visuals and inspiring songs, Madiba the Musical is a unique theatrical experience to lift our spirits.
