  • I, A Man play Marquee Moon
    Time: 6:30pm
    Where: Pure Pop
    I, A Man plays Marquee Moon by Television as part of Pure Pop’s Summer of Classic Albums.
  • Eliza Hull
    Time: 7:00pm
    Where: 95 Espresso
    Melbourne’s Eliza Hull mixes progressive chill with a voice described as “fragile, yet strong”. Her songs like love letters, each one heartfelt and raw. Hull’s debut EP Dawn was recorded in home studios, garages and churches, creating a lush and textured sound, with tracks feature string and horn arrangements, and collaborations with Mark Pearl (Texture Like Sun) and Ainslie Wills.
  • Sam and Felix
    Time:7:00pm
    Where:Sugarreef
    Sam and Felix are an instrumental duo from St Kilda, featuring Sam Cooper on the acoustic guitar and Felix Lofgren on the acoustic and the electric cello. Their music includes reinterpretations of well-known pop, folk songs and jazz tunes as well as original compositions.
  • Mattriks & the B.O.K.
    Time: 7:30pm
    Where: The Felix Bar
    Mattriks & the B.O.K have been recording and performing hip hop fusion since the turn of the millennium. The current line-up involves Mattriks dropping beats, beat-boxing and delivering high energy hip-hop rhymes, Even Dawn rapping and providing soulful melodies and visuals, while Rachel by the Stream (aka Robots) plays dubbed out melodica and flute and sings smooth vocals.
  • Dancing Heals
    Time: 8:00pm
    Where: Prince Public Bar
    In just two years, Dancing Heals have sold out their first EP, performed across Australia and in the USA with acts including Fanfarlo and Astronautralis, been featured on two US television promo campaigns and released their self-funded debut album to glowing reviews.
  • Brighter at Night
    Time: 8:00pm
    Where: Elephant & Wheelbarrow
    Brighter at Night have developed a strong following throughout Australia as well as a reputation for playing explosive live sets. Their unique take on pop-punk-alternative music, along with incredibly catchy female vocal melodies, is helping to drive their fast-rising star.
  • Riv
    Time:8:00pm
    Where: Laika
    Riv, a young Melbourne born student at the VCA, has spent the past two years of her life perfecting her art and developing her passion for music. Adopting many music styles from jazz to pop, RnB to soul and hip hop, this enigmatic singer will blow you away with her powerful and unique vocals.
  • Fierce Mild
    Time:8:00pm
    Where: St Kilda Sports Club
    The Fierce Mild experience delivers pummeling rhythms juxtaposed with haunting melodies. Formed in 2009 with the sole purpose of exciting your ears, the band has played across the Melbourne and Sydney music circuits – their unique brand of funk juxtaposed with dark psychedelia has captivated and enticed many a reveller.
  • Mix Method

    Mix Method are a true party band playing funk, hip hop (with guest MC Mose) and drum n bass grooves. Always cheeky, fun and funky.
  • The Lawnton Bowls Club
    Time: 8:00pm
    Where: Cushion Lounge
    The Lawnton Bowls Club are a bushranger rock ‘n’ blues-abilly act with Jeff bangin’ the skins and Ed squawking and strumming his Firebird.
  • Verbal Tactics
    Time: 8:30pm
    Where: The Felix Bar
    Hailing from the where the green rolling hills of south Gippsland meet the wild waters of Bass Strait, Emcee’s Triga and Rychus are compadres of the pen and pad who have been slowly but surely building up a strong repertoire of songs, piecing together their rhymes to create a unique lyrical experience based on truth and verbal wit.
  • The Vendettas

    With their infectious energy, power riffs and healthy combination of modern Swedish “rock”, n’ ballsy Aussie “roll”, The Vendettas are a band that must be experienced live and raw.
  • The Spinset
    Time: 9:00pm
    Where: Elephant & Wheelbarrow
    Combining powerful, harmonious vocals with pounding drums and crunching guitars, Melbourne’s The Spinset deliver a high energy live show that will leave you wanting more.
  • Blunt Paper Massive
    Time: 9:30pm
    Where: The Felix Bar
    All band members of Blunt Paper Massive are well established in their fields, and their mix of cultural backgrounds, eclectic influences and killer live shows have cemented Blunt Paper Massive’ reputation as a truly original flavour on the Australian musical landscape.
  • The Go Set
    Time: 10:00pm
    Where: Elephant & Wheelbarrow
    The Go Set has created a sound of its own, playing with raw energy and undeniable passion, combining traditional sounds of bagpipes and mandolin with contemporary guitars; performing songs with socially and politically motivated lyrics.
  • Mimi Velevska
    Time: 10:00pm
    Where: St Kilda Sports Club
    Melbourne performer Mimi Velevska’s hypnotic allure and fierce stage show result in a bona fide electric experience of soul and rock not to be missed. A VCA jazz trained vocalist, Velevska exhibits a driving momentum and an enviable maturity.
  • Beach Volleyball Victorian Open 2013
    Time: 2:00pm – 8:30pm
    Where: St Kilda Foreshore
    The longest standing Beach Volleyball event in Australia attracts the best male and female players from around the country and the world. Don’t miss the action! The Victorian Open has been a part of the St Kilda Festival for nearly 20 years. It has brought some of the best players from around the globe to St Kilda and puts on an action-packed, fun-filled, sun-soaked (sometimes rain-soaked and wind-blown but always highly exciting) spectacle for Festival goers.
