You ask yourself – how scary can it really be? You think to yourself – you are not going to scream … but you will.

The scares start out light. You may even chuckle at the delight of being scared, jumping in your seat at something unexpected. But as the night goes on, the show becomes more and more terrifying.

There are twists and turns in the story you don’t see coming. It is eerie, spooky, petrifying … after the show you will still be scared, you will be scared to leave your seat, you will be scared to get into your car, you will be scared to turn the lights off that night.

Written by the masters of the macabre, Jeremy Dyson (The League of Gentlemen) and Andy Nyman (star of ‘Death at a Funeral’ & writer of the Derren Brown shows) Ghost Stories combines the very best of live theatre with all the thrills of a great horror film. Despite being blood and gore free this 80 minute drama, will take you on a chilling journey that you will never forget.

This haunting psychological thriller is playing at the National Theatre in St Kilda until 6 August!

Disclaimer: Ghost Stories contains moments of extreme shock and tension. The play is unsuitable for anyone under the age of 13. We strongly advise those of a nervous disposition and pregnant women carefully consider their decision to attend.

You have been warned.

So ask yourself… Are you brave enough to book?
