Acland Court is inviting everyone to come and get a very cool ‘Selfie with Santa’ on Friday 19 December and Saturday 20 December from 12-4pm. For the first time, the whole family can sit in Santa’s chair and snap a selfie for a gold coin donation to local charity, Sacred Heart Mission…so BYO your smartphone or camera.

A ‘Santa Station’ will also be provided, full of exciting props like reindeer ears, palm trees, elf ears to make this year’s photo even more memorable. Or bring your own prop to make your photo even more special. If you ‘like’ Acland Court on Facebook and upload your Christmas pictures, the most creative selfie will be awarded an Acland Court gift voucher valued at $200.00.

Our resident Santa will also be joined by Crumpette the Clown, who will be on hand to spread some fun and games, as well as face-painting with Fairy Moth for the kids to enjoy with a gold coin donation to Sacred Heart Mission.

This Christmas also marks Acland Court’s third year in partnership with Sacred Heart Mission. Founded in 1982, Sacred Heart Mission offers a range of services and basic necessities ? food, clothing, emergency relief, accommodation and companionship ? for people who are experiencing homelessness or disadvantage, and aims to reconnect them with community life. “Sacred Heart Mission is a fantastic charity that has been helping the less fortunate for over 30 years”, Centre Manager of Acland Court, Sue Defina, says. “As a sign of gratitude, all gold coin donations from our activities will once again go directly to them. Christmas time is about giving thanks, and in that tradition we invite the whole St Kilda community down to Acland Court so we can extend our gratitude for their years of support”, Sue Defina says.

After Santa Claus leaves to make his list of who is naughty and nice, on Sunday 21st December, from 12-4pm, live Christmas music from the locals will have shoppers tapping along in the spirit of the season.

“Christmas is our favourite time of the year, and we really just want to share the festivities with our local families and friends”, Sue Defina says.
