Jill Meagher’s killer Adrian Ernest Bayley has had 87 days added to his life sentence for unpaid parking and speeding fines.

There were 40 fines in total racking up over 12,000 dollars in unpaid infringements.

Magistrate Lance Martin backdated the sentence to when it was first lodged on May 24, meaning the additional time has already been served.

Bayley, 41, is serving a life sentence with a minimum of 35 years for the rape and murder of Jill Meagher.
