Editor’s Note December-January

We recommend that you enhance your St Kilda Summer by reading this special double month edition of SKN cover to cover.  You don’t have to do it all in one go of course, and in-between reads you can meet up with friends, attend parties, go to the beach and perhaps enjoy a summer romance or two.  But see if you can read it all, that is our challenge to you.

While some of the SKN team has a well-deserved break over Summer others will be busy implementing a few projects.  Over the next two months you will notice a few orange SKN footpath stands appearing.  We will be launching our much anticipated St Kilda iphone app.  We will increase our distribution with bulk stands in the St Kilda Library, The Grumpy Swimmer in Elwood, IGA Middle Park and Princy’s in Grey Street along with a few other spots.  If you are a local organisation and would like an SKN stand please contact us.

While you’re reading please keep in mind that SKN is a compilation of citizen journalism, written by St Kilda for St Kilda.  If you really enjoy reading this edition perhaps you might want to consider becoming a volunteer.  We are interested in hearing from you if you would like to volunteer as a writer, photographer or SKN street team member.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has contributed to SKN this year.  Our writers, photographers, designers, web and social media people, distribution folk and of course our advertisers.  Please support all of the businesses you see advertising in SKN as they are a big reason why you are able to read this!

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,
