Acland Court Shopping Centre will showcase diverse tunes every Sunday throughout July to warm local residents in need of a break from the cold this winter.

From jazz to classical to blues, the musical Sunday series promises something for everyone.

As a special Bastille Day celebration, Sunday 14 July will be filled with the sounds of Paris as local musician’s take you on a French fantasy tour for the ears.

“After the positive feedback for our local Christmas choirs last year, we decided to support some local talent and treat our shoppers this winter,” said Acland Court Shopping Centre Manager, Sue Defina. “St Kilda is known for its fun and creative spirit. We wanted to embrace that and warm up winter with some great music.” she said.

“We are delighted that Acland Court has provided local musicians with the opportunity to show off their talents. All of St Kilda has the chance to see just how creative their fellow residents are,” said local musician and talent coordinator for Acland Court, Matt Dywer. “For many musicians, it can be a struggle to find the right setting to showcase their musical abilities. Acland Court is not only providing this space, but also free entertainment for the whole community.”

Acland Court Shopping Centre has grown into one of St Kilda’s popular little shopping hot spots. The centre launched in 1999, and offers 15 diverse retailers and three levels of secure undercover parking with wheelchair access (car park open from 6am to midnight daily).
