The Art Show is a celebration of the visual and performing arts where artists, celebrity chefs, jewellers, food and wine artisans and art world luminaries join forces with Albert Park College students for a fundraising extravaganza.

The centrepiece of the weekend’s celebrations is the Art Show; a professionally curated exhibition featuring established artists and our talented students. Notable inclusions are Sankar Nadeson, official artist for the AFL, colourful pop artist, Dennis Ropar and Archibald recipient and official war artist, Lewis Miller. All works exhibited are for sale with 25 per cent of sales donated directly to our school.

Friday’s gala opening will feature a live auction with a number of paintings donated by Melbourne art dealer John Playfoot, going under the hammer of Geoffrey Smith from Sotheby’s.
Guests will have the opportunity to meet the artists, enjoy live entertainment and sample delicacies prepared and served by the students. Local businessman Morry Fraid, Director of Spotlight, will assist in judging the art prize and support the event via the Spotlight Foundation.

The Albert Park College Art Show 2012 will be held over one evening and two days:
